Hello to All!
Just checking in to say hi to all my Tripawd friends! It is 2 months today since my surgery and my recovery has been great. I can now run up AND down stairs. It took me a while to figure out how to go down, but now I am doing it no problem. My hair is growing in where I had my hair-cut for surgery and I have soft, silky white hair that is going to be spectacular. I eat, sleep, play, run and enjoy everything life has to offer.
I don’t have the “link”, but if you go to North Central Maltese Rescue.com, you can read my adoption info. It does sound like there is someone who really wants me to be their forever-baby. We will be very happy and both very lucky. This is such a miracle to have a successful surgery and to make a full recovery like I have. I am here to tell all dogs and their families that being a tripawd is not the worst thing that could happen. I will have a long, happy, healthy life and it is just fine. Stay tuned for my further adventures!! Thank you everyone for all the good you do every day for all the dogs.

trouper, i am going to fill out the adoption application and am interested in you! i have one maltese, eloise, and she would LOVE a little playmate. do you do well with other dogs?
Hi Carin,,
Absolutely! Trouper loves the other dogs in my house. I don’t have cats so I don’t know about that, but Trouper Second Chance loves everyone and everything so I am sure he would be fine! He does bark at my husband Gary in the morning, but he is getting better…..Trouper that is,,,,,well, and Gary too.
It makes him sad that he doesnt bark at me, but I am food-mama so he knows Trouper wants to be good to me!
I am in Glenview Illinois, just north of Chicago. Go to the Maltese web site linked by the nice moderator….NorthCentral Maltese Rescue.
Mary Palmer runs the rescue.
What ever happens, there are lots of WONDERFUL dogs on the web site for adoption so for sure check it out. Fill out an adoption form. I think it is nice to have two dogs in the house for when you go out. They like to be with another dog or two!!! Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Tropper, my family also sent in our application to adopt u. We have a nice yard to pay in and three other paymates with one of them another maltese. All three of our dogs are very freindly with one of our dogs testing to become a therapy dog for a hospital. We know you will find a good home and we hope you are able to come for a home visit to determine if we are a good fit for you. My wife is a teacher for handlicap children so you would fit right in. Look forward to maybe meeting you in person.
Hi Jeff and family,
I sent an email to your aol address but it came back. So will respond here. Hope you see this.
I am just the foster for Trouper. The rescue group/board members handle all the adoption details. Glad to hear you have an application in. With all your other dogs, I think Trouper would love that. We have 3 also and he makes 4. He enjoys being with the others and gets along well. He is really an inspiration getting around with his 3 legs. He can go anywhere now and he loves to be held and sleep in the bed. We use little doggie steps so he can get up and down from the bed on his own. He is fun to spoil and what I love about him, is, he always seems so happy.
I understand there has been a lot of interest in him. But, what ever happens. I know you will get the right member for your pack. He is so tiny (but he does make his presence known) he would barely be there…ha ha….as if. He is a take-charge guy!! Campsie & Trouper Second Chance.
Hi Tropper, thanks for the home visit yesterday. You are a brave little guy and i hope you had some fun with our other dogs. We would be happy to add you to our pack and home. What ever home you end up with I hope you have a healthy and happy life!!!
Well Trouper we found out we were turned down for your adoption. Well I am sure there will be other families who will love to have you. Good luck and have a safe and happy life.
Hi Campsie –
I wandered onto this page while surfing. I have been thinking about you and Trouper. I sat across the aisle from you at the Malt picnic in June and loved holding sweet Trouper while we bid on all the wonderful auction items. Sadly he & our Zoe didn’t spark to one another. I don’t see him on the Rescue site anymore, so I hope he found a wonderful forever home, although I know your home would have been a wonderful one to stay in. Please update us on his status. I’m sure others would like to know too.
