I have rescue dogs and I will be fostering my first maltese. His left, front leg needs to be amputated due to an abuse injury. I found your organization and was amazed at the support network you have. Once I figure out the message board, I will write more. His surgery will be in a few days so I am learning all I can. You are all as courageous as your tripawds! Talk soon, Campsie View all posts by campsie
He looks so happy!
There are about 4 or 5 of us in the Chicagoland area, thinking about a get-together in May sometime, will keep you posted. : )
such a cutie!
Welcome Trouper! You are just too cute!
what a handsome trouper, and such nice humans too!! thanks for sharing your pictures.
charon & gayle
Campsie, you are the best! I just love reading about little Trouper (formerly named as Chance… I really like the name Chance but it is sad that he was not given a chance by the former owner who let the human kids break his leg and leave him at a shelter to be euthanized) and love seeing the pictures. I will be sure to visit often. He is so cute and sounds so sweet so I am glad our rescue group gave him a chance and glad you were chosen to foster him since you are so perfect for being his Foster Mom! You husband also seems to love Trouper already.
Looks like Trouper is pretty good at puttin’ smiles on people’s faces! 🙂
Trouper is just a handfil of love, huh! He’s precious!
Thank you everyone for the nice comments. We are having a good time getting to know our little tripawd. Can you believe it will only be ONE WEEK AGO TOMMOROW since I brought him home? And only 2 weeks post op? Wow,,,,lots happening in a short amount of time.
As for a get-together, that would be wonderful. We have an annual Maltese Picnic every year and it is the highlight of all of our lives. Just seeing other people who think like we do is fun and the dogs love it too.
If anyone is interested in the Maltese Picnic, check out the Northcentral Maltese Rescue web site for more details. Its in June. It is the major fund raiser for doing the important rescue work. It is vital to provide the life-saving surgery Trouper just received. It is a small-dog event for people with big hearts. Like all of you!!!
Trouper, you are darned cute! Stay away from that Tripawd Spokesdawg Wild Boy Wyatt Ray though, he’s got this thing about small white dogs. DON’T TRUST HIM!!! 😉
Hi there Jerry ,
I will be careful with Wild Boy Wyatt Ray but I am soooo adorable, he won’t be able to resist my charms. And if that isn’t enough, I will bark my “small-dog” barkin head off like all yippy little white dogs are known to do!!!!
Love & Licks,,,
Trouper 2nd Chance….oxoxo
